4– 1/4" – 20 X 7/8” SS flat head socket drive machine screws

4 – 1/4" SS internal tooth lock washers

2 – 12” x 1” x ½” Dove tail bar

1 – Base Mount Plate 12” x 3” x 3/8”

Removable Mount Base Assembly Instructions;

1) Install dovetail rails to the bottom of the base plate. Make the flange side of the dovetail rails sit flat against the non-countersunk side of the base plate. The center holes of the base plate and dovetail rails are offset so make the sure the holes line up. Using the 4– 1/4" – 20 X 7/8” SS flat head socket drive machine screws and the 4 – 1/4" SS internal tooth lock washers bolt the dovetail rails to the base plate use anti seize compound on the threads of the machine screws. The 4 – 1/4" SS internal tooth lock washers will form fit to the countersunk holes as the machine screws are tightened, do not over tighten screws or you could strip the socket heads from the machine screws.

2) Install the base mount to your vessel using good quality machine bolts of screws not furnished by Miller Marine Products. Make sure the base plate is mounted to a flat surface it can be diamond plate but do not mount it to an arched surface. This will affect how the corresponding mounts mate to this mount. If your vessel has an arched surface I recommend having a welder install a flat plate or the plate be shimmed to make sure it is not distorted when tightened down to the vessel. This base mount plate may also be welded directly to the vessel.
