Installation Instructions
1) Determine which way your offset plate will be angled two of the four corners will be overhanging the main trolling motor bracket. Take the 2 – 1/4" – 20 X 1 ½” SS pan head machine screws install a flat washer on each machine screw then add the rubber bumper with the countersunk portion towards the head of the screw. Next slide a fender washer on each screw and a 1/4" – 20 SS hex nut tighten the hex nut, place another 1/4" – 20 SS hex nut on each screw. Place a flat washer on top of the last nut added. Put anti seize compound on the threads of the bolt, screw this assembly with the flat washer against the bottom of the offset plate using the opposite threaded hole position on each exposed corner of the offset bracket pointing to the boat deck surface.
The size of machine screws can be changed to make sure the rubber bumpers contact the boat deck when the trolling motor flexes. This is an important feature of this design. If the machine screws are too long they can be cut with a hacksaw or replaced with smaller machine screws.
2) Using a 1/4" – 20 X 3/4” SS flat head socket drive machine screw and a 1/4" SS internal tooth lock washer add anti seize compound to the screw thread and install the center bolt into the corresponding position of the trolling motor main plate. Place the 4 remaining 1/4" – 20 X 3/4” SS flat head socket drive machine screws in the four slots of the offset plate. Set the correct angle for your installation on the offset plate and tighten all bolts.
3) Attach the Trolling Motor using the 6 - 1/4" – 20 X 5/8” SS hex bolts, 6 - 1/4" SS split lock washers & 6 - 1/4" SS round washers. Place the split ring lock washer on the bolt first with the flat washer next use anti seize thread compound on the threads.
